Hi Everyone!

I have been keeping my blog on xanga.com (http://www.xanga.com/hilkoh) , the last several years but am going to move it over to blogspot to be with the google masses.

I am a mom of soon to be 4 y/o boy/girl twins, and in my spare time (haha!) work full time as an OBGYN doctor.

I have a wonderful husband who is a fantastic dad to our little ones, and a great support net of grandparents who live nearby and in Philadelphia; we simply could not do it all without them all!

I love my job, but will probably blog most about daily life as a mom, a girly-girl, and as an emerging runner. I love my babies more than anything in the world, but I still struggle with some things other moms excel at-- daily routines, getting the laundry done, remembering when bath night is, and trying to be interested in cooking at home rather than going out to eat all the time. As a surgeon, the girly-girl thing really throws people for a loop-- I operate in high heels (because I feel like a BOY wearing clunky flats), wear makeup, and bring my purse into the OR with me. I look a little young for my age, so many times people don't think I am the surgeon, which really surprises my patients' families-- I get the "Are you OLD ENOUGH to be DOING THIS???" question at least twice a month. I used to get my feelings hurt, but after turning 34 this past year, now I consider it a compliment. I started running almost a year ago and it has become a fun, healthy new hobby for my husband and me. We are training for a full (him) and half marathon (me) in May 2008. A year ago I wouldn't have WALKED a mile, nevermind signing up to run 13.1 miles! (And in case you're wondering, yes, I still did my hair and wore makeup to the last race I ran)

Stop back and hopefully I will carve out some time to blog!
