Mitten Man Knows it All

Jakob insisted on wearing his winter mittens to bed tonight. I snapped this a few minutes ago, and he was none the wiser. That boy can sleep through anything!
It was a bit of a rough night as we took them to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner and he kept jumping up & down on the booth cushion, and running his Spiderman car up the windows separating us from the bar area, annoying the people on the other side. He would not listen to us at all. Later, in the bathtub, he got a little crazy with throwing water around (a common issue around here) the floor and ceiling, and proceeded to tangle up the cords to the blinds above the bathtub and get the blinds all askew-- this is a BIG NO-NO, he KNOWS he is not supposed to mess with the blinds-- and Mia promptly ratted him out. As punishment he wasn't allowed to watch Spiderman & His Amazing Friends tonight before bed; he still got to watch Little Mermaid, which Mia picked, but he couldn't BELIEVE we weren't caving and letting him watch Spiderman. I rocked and sang to him a lot though this evening and we talked about behaving, but I doubt he will remember by tomorrow.
On another note, he knows his state capitals! They have been learning about different states as part of summer preschool camp, and out of nowhere late last week, he just started naming states and capitals. It is very funny to here him say "Tallahassee" and "Sacramento." He likes to joke around, as in if YOU ask him about the capitals (instead of HIM bringing it up), he will answer "Pheonix" for all of them, grinning the whole time. I love my funny boy!
